i can go for weeks without burning a rod, bt wouldn't be without a stick welder.
it weighs 6kg dosent take up much space in the corner, pick it up with a box of rods and extension lead and your good to go.
use it in the workshop occasionaly if the mig wont reach and its to much hasstel to move it. and also nothing beats it on cast repairs

gas weldings far neater and versatile than mig .it may be slower but u dont have to grind the welds when there finished and if u are proficient its not much slower . the only reason mig is more popular with diy is most dont want the bottles or the hassle of renting them or borowing them
+ mig is easier to learn
