You can go the other way now, with Windows Subsystem for Linux 2 (WSL2)The Windows 12 upgrade is Linux
Zorin is the Linux distribution that is supposed to have the best "Windoze" look and feel. Its designed to feel a bit Win 7 and has WINE pre-installed. (Windows emulator, some Windows apps will run in it) So probably the best bet for a Linux newbie.
Apart from a couple of annoying exceptions, I don't really need Windows, if it wasn't for a couple of apps and the availability of Windows licenses for a £5 on ebay, I would have dumped it years ago.
Here you go...You can go the other way now, with Windows Subsystem for Linux 2 (WSL2)
The Ultimate Guide to Windows Subsystem for Linux (Windows WSL) (adamtheautomator.com)
Install WSL on Windows 10 | Microsoft Docs
This isn't running a VM within Windows, it's a full Linux kernel (your choice of Ubuntu, openSuse, Suse Enterprise, Debian, Fedora, Pengwin, Alpine or Kali) running inside of Windows and sharing resources.
You can even compile code on one platform and execute debug it on the other - I do this with .Net Core 5 running on Linux via Rider running inside Windows.
But now WSL even supports graphical Linux apps so I could install and run the Linux version of Rider and execute that inside Windows
The main point is if you need to run both (which is admittedly not something that 99.9999% of the population needs to do!).dont see the point in running linux on windows
either run windows or just run linux
But how would you know...? I reckon "they" have compromised your external firewall, tooIve also updated my external firewall, no sign of Microsoft spying on me with W11, still have a tinfoil hat handy if needed.......
