Hello I had the same problem with my new falcom mig that I bought before Christmas. I took it back and it turned out that the knob broke off inside the wire feed speed switch. They have to order a new one . Maybe your fault is the same. I think they call them a potiometer. I could be wrong

Hi guys, update time!
26-12-17 - Sent email to weldequip detailing the problem and provided links to the video's posted in this thread.
02-01-18 - Parweld re-opened. Contacted Parweld direct as Steve / weldequip was closed for Christmas and didn't reopen until the 8th Jan, guy on the phone basically told me they couldn't do anything and referred me back to my distributor.
08-01-18 - Fast forward to today, as weldequip / Steve has only reopened he was straight on the phone to me this morning. We had a quick chat and he got on the phone to Parweld and provided them the information I gave him. He phoned me back later on and it's good news! To save me from packing the whole machine up, getting a pallet, organising collection and paying in excess of £45 in courier fee's to send it back to mainland UK he has asked Parweld to send out a new control board instead which they have stated I can fit myself and not void my warranty!
Parweld then contacted me and I shall have the new board Wednesday so fingers crossed this fixes my issue! Initially they were going to arrange to collect the faulty board but have now said that I can hold onto it as it would cost them money in the long run. Hopefully I can take a look at it and see if it is something simple I can fix myself and therefore have a spare one.

Great news indeed! I did ask Steve for a cost effective solution in that would it be possible for Parweld to send out a part that I could fit myself and not void the warranty or take it to a local authorised repair centre. Turns out... if you don't ask, you'll never know!
Off topic, but the wire feed tensioner, there are markings on it 1 to 5, what do these mean and where roughly should I tighten the wire down to?
I have been reading online about tightening it down so that you can just about stop it while pinching it at the torch end and another video said about holding the torch end flush against a piece of wood and pull the trigger so that the wire dosn't feed but does not birds nest.
Basically what I would like to know is what tension 1 to 5 do YOU tighten down to for .8 wire?

I would tension the wire until it stops slipping in the drive roller if I'm honest!

Spoke to Steve at Weldequip and Parweld on Monday, part arrived on Wednesday. Work commitments and laying a laminate floor for a friend delayed fitting the part until today. Needless to say replacing the part and finding out that it worked after made my day!
Hardest part was having to solder the existing potentiometer wires back onto the new board

One of the reasons I just bought a Parweld machine is due to the warranty. Sounds like they're a company that actually care!
Hats off to both Steve at Weldequip and Parweld. I think it may be a main factor on his (Steve's) part that he asked them to send me out a replacement part rather than ship the whole unit back. Saved me a small fortune. Parweld true to their word sent me out the replacement part quickly and still allowed me to retain my warranty even though the end user had replaced parts, albeit, at their instruction to replace the part.
