I have a snap on 187 pro every time I feed the wire through if I keep the lead straight it goes through fine but as soon as I start a weld the slightest bend in the hose I get a bird’s nest at the hose side of the feed motor also the drive is intermittent when feeding the wire through any ideas would be appreciated

It’s around the correct way I’ve tried fast and slow wire feed also but the feed can be intermittent sometimes stopping when welding but as soon as I put a bend in the lead it coils up as shown has a brand new gun and leads

If it is bird nesting then your roller are TO tight !
If there is resistance to the feeding then the rollers should slip but yours are still feeding and causing the bird nest

it looks uite tight from the lines left showing on the tensioner

If it is a Euro torch then remove torch and pull the liner. look along it's length for any kinks. Run your hand along it and feel for any unevenness. Check bot ends have been cut neatly and don't have any burrs sticking into the hole up through the liner (if that makes sense!) If it has been cut with wire cutters they tend to squash it before they cut.
You could try flipping the liner around, end to end and if there is a bad spot it may move it to a less troublesome end till your get a replacement.

It is a Euro torch i take it ?

Yes brand new was doing it with the old gun so brought a new one

also try taking the tip out and try a run without the internal tip

is it new wire or old wire your running through if its got any muck or rusting on that wire it will jam or stick a scotch pad can clean the wire before it goes through

How close is the end of the liner to the roller? Can you open the tensioner up and take another pic?

Looks to me like the roller is set for 0.8mm wire.

Is that the right roller ? Looks like it’s coming off , also to me looks like you got 0.8 wire running on the 0.6 groove , also looks like your wire has rust on it - this will clog liner up and won’t go through the tip smoothly
