I use my trailer like once or twice a year only to take stuff to local tip or lift diy materials.
So I would know to charge them day before planning to use my trailer sort of thing.

Is there some element of ambiguity here in this thread with the term Wireless.
I assume we are referring to the lights not needing wires.
But then there are at least 2 members mentioning wireless as in WiFi.

BiL had a set. worked for a while, but easily knocked off, in both senses of the word.
Most problems with trailer lamps is that manufacturers seem to use the cheapest solution, which are invariable poorly sealed, and not fitted properly. The other problem areas are the socket and plug, which are easily damaged and corrode, plus the non genuine Scotchlok connectors used to wire the socket in.

As far as I know the lights (at least some of them) use 2.4ghz which is the same as WiFi.
Basically you plug a transmitter into the existing trailer socket on the vehicle and then, no other wires, the light units themselves have batteries and recivers in.
Would be good for a boat trailer or a trailer that needs frequent steam-cleaning etc as you simply pull the light units off and put them out of the way.
I'm not seeing huge aadvantages to them otherwise though?
Maybe if you were a trailer dealer they would be handy providing the trailer has a suitable surface to mount them on.
A wireless trailer board might make more sense in that respect?
Not worth the investment then. Bats not used could fail.

So go with no lights?
Problem is if I fit new hardwired lights they will fail again. Trailer outside permanently never had lights truly last on any trailer.

Get decent sealed LED units and wire them up properly insulated with proper junction boxes.
These have been on for 4 years, trailer lives outside, everything works perfectly.

My no-brand trailer lives outside, gets used 2-3 times a year, lights are still working fine after 7 years.

The ones in the OP have the magnet on a round base attached to the lights by a metal stalk. For me it saved any worries of corrosion on wires or lights getting damp. If I towed a trailer daily I would wire in a set of good quality led lights, but for my occasional use they have been good.
Looks like it just came out of a showroom - was that the day you bought it

I should have posted this earlier but this is my trailer:
It does 3 or 4 trips a year approx 3 miles per run. (Local dump or builders merchants)
The original lights died about a year after I bought the trailer new. That company had closed by then.
I fitted temporary permanent LED magnetic wired lights. The cables are a nuisance and have to be cable tied to the outside of the trailer each trip. Eventually I grew tired of this and left them on the trailer. Those second LED lights are now steamed up with water too so the end is neigh. (Again)
My plan is to strip all those old lights off and fit wireless ones which I can take inside easily after each very occasional use. People mentioning they fall off - that one would be simple by tieing a small cord to prevent them falling onto road if magnet let's go.
As a reminder the car has to stay outside 365 days a year I have no garage space for it. Not only rain but humidity clings to the plugs etc and kills them.

This trailer is no wider than my car in reality. It did have front clear marker lights either side which failed many years ago. (2017?)
Good point though I will replace those old green filled marker lights with reflectors.
Others may know better but I think it's based on length not width as to whether additional markers are required

I charged up the set i bought and synched them with the car, they seem to work fine and there is the white down lights on each for the numberplate. Moved them well over 100' away and they still worked. If they dont fail I would consider them space worthy in the truck, time will tell.
