Wiring up the Oxford RT 300

I've been using Oxfords for 40 years but I'm no expert. They could be purchased with either 240, 415, or both primary windings. The best results on your set on a 240v supply will be across the 0 and 400 terminals (earth on centre pin). Even on 80volt secondary it will be less than satisfactory I'm afraid. Your best option as Simon says will be a large step up transformer, which will probably cost more than the welder! W/A

Hello any one know how to wire up a 300 amp max oil cooled single phase there is 2 red wires coming in to the terminal box and there is 3 terminals on opposite side but no markings to show which is live and which one is neutral Earth I think is the middle terminal thanks in advance
