Oh I like arise. Mine is cento
I use "meany"Haha! Good cartoon Seadog! I've kinda gotten used to American now. We've had 'color', 'harbor' and all sorts of other horrible spellings. Adieu was on the list of acceptable words with the old regime. I certainly won't be signing up for the NYT if they start charging though. The question is, what is your favourite (not favorite!) word to start with? At the moment mine is 'Arise' often followed by 'Mount'.
It is, I can't be bothered to watch that whole video again but I think he determines the best "average" score is a little over 3, you're bound to get 4 sometimes even playing perfectly. It's luck if u get it in 2 I think
Ahem, who gave you permission to steal Amy stolen joke
It does that for me too. Give me a nice morning coffee and a quick (ish) Wordle. Quordle should be no harder in theory but somehow it is awkward and less satisfying to me.dam quordle make my brain hurt
I got it in 56, won't be doing it again though.Try this:
Semantle | Daily Word Guessing Game
Semantle is an engaging word-guessing game that challenges you to find the hidden word through semantic clues. Sharpen your linguistic skills!semantle.novalis.org
Basically, find a word by being scored how closely other words are used in the same context.
As an example: "man" is closer to "horse" than it is to "humanity".
It usually takes me around 100-150 guesses...
I keep thinking that - I go back to it a couple of times a week, thoughI got it in 56, won't be doing it again though.
It always has been hasn't it? Originally made by a New York programmer wasn't it?I did until it went 'merican. Humor, what's that? It is intended to make it subscription-based soon.
Yes. The programmer is Welsh but lives in Brooklyn, NY. The word list has been American from the start, but it used to be on a .co.uk domain so a lot of people (myself included) assumed it would have a more civilised word list.It always has been hasn't it? Originally made by a New York programmer wasn't it?
Mr. Wardle, who is British developed the programme. His intention was that it should always be free to use. Yeah right, until someone offered a load of moneyIt always has been hasn't it? Originally made by a New York programmer wasn't it?

Took me 4 goes today but I did manage to get it in 3 yesterday. Depends on a bit of luck too, before my third guess yesterday I already had the middle three letters and in the correct order.Ooof, today's was savage for me!
