Have a look at rufflander, proper old school british leather boots, they take a while to wear in but they last forever and once worn in are comfy. Made in the UK too.

Did you have to take a second mortgage? Cant believe the price of them

work paid! I would not spend my own £££ on them think they were £130 but they are so comfie miss my steel toes though bloody hurt the horse stod on me foot last week

They are great boots though, the trouble is, i remember when you could get ox blood red high leg DM's for less than £30 Ouch, lesson learned - back to steelies!

Yes I remember wearing DMs to school as a kid airware I had boots and shoes. shame I could not get steelies in the DM

Aye but by the time the docs die you would have been through 3 or 4 cheap sets.

Wife's everyday docs have been going 3 years so far.

I got a pair of Dickies Quebec when I started in my current job, worn all day every day for 3-4 months at a time and the first pair lasted around 3 years - so about a year and a half to two years worth of every day use.

The lined ones get a bit warm at times but I've also been quite comfy in them in - 25 ish. Was so impressed with them I bought a pair myself for home.

Current pair I've been issued from work are Helly Hansens (don't know the type) but they are feeling pretty worn out already after 4 months of use
