Everyone want the best of all accessories for thier machine that get used once in a blue moon, but when it come to protection health you all want it for tuppence halfpenny from the car boot sale with a home made modification

It used to be the case that you could find one-day crash courses on Health and Safety, often in local FE colleges, The good ones will be attributed to some professional health and safety body. You will learn an awful lot about H&S, but sadly, they are not free. As Parm says, control measures are complicated and there is this thing called hierarchy of control measures which needs to be complied with

If you're grinding GRP, with a grinder, like I often am, you'd be insane, not to have a suitable 3M mask, even outdoors.

this scale is not commercial just now and then making small components and helms etc, not a big as a boat but still i know what you mean kida.

Resin is strong stinking stuff, i have been doing it in a canvas type garage and folk 100yards away could smell it.

@Parm ill just get the biggest i can.

It will be fit though at the work area so all new air is drawn in from the other side

All i need is the size to use.

You're a bit vague about the work / hobby position. Remember, for work , you have a duty of care to others, like the people who can smell it 100yds away and certainly anyone who enters your workshop.

That not health and safety. It will be EPA legislation, enforced by EHOs

The substances being used won’t know if they are at home or work, they affect you in the same way

Like I said. A 12’ fan positioned incorrectly will draw the contamiant vapour laden air across the breathing zone of the operative thus significantly increasing the potential for human exposure

local exhaust ventilation is what’s required. This requires knowledge and understanding of how and where the hazard is created.

not stick a 12’ in fan in the wall and you’ll be fine

despite having done this for 30 years I’m unable to give any specific advice as the OP hasn’t said what his specifics are
