I have a cheap speed control for power tools. Basically a glorified light dimmer
I tried it out with the temp probe on my DMM and was able to set it to run 260F (125c).
With a diode, it barely got warm. I would like some kind of temp control I could dial in in degrees.
im not really upto speed on temp controllers and speed controllers for kit but if you were looking for a quick job, would the dial off an old electric cooker not do the job?? there rated to a fairly high current and temp for what they are and im pretty sure u could get the bits ur after at the local salvage / recycling yard for nothing at all?
hope it helps
