I have an old Guyson cabinet; when I got it the glass was already frosting so I bought a piece from a local glazier (should have been toughened of course but what could possibly go wrong ). Before long it was opaque again so I cut a piece of clear polycarbonate, wrapped it in clingfilm and have used it like that for years - just rip off and rewrap the clingfilm when it starts to shred.
