Yes. Very
well, a tad rude old chap.Actually...I was expecting that lol
The forum search should be your first port of call. Spencer has revealed all in the past. Of course he may have improved his technique in the interim.Actually @Machinery restorations I should nt give you any advice or help at all ! I have twice asked you how you get the finish/clean on your lathe restorations and have not even had a reply
Wasn't where I thought I remembered, but "cleaning" as topic and "Machinery restorations" as member finally found it for me.thankyou , I had looked but never found that ! appreciated
Yeah but….It's been a long time since I worked on one, but I have a vague recollection of needing a big lever on the old tensioner. Slacken the nut off, lever it back, then tighten the nut to keep it held back so you can get the belt off. Then release the nut, swap the pulley, and lever it back in so you can get the belt back on.
@James1979 that's for the newer tensioner.
OK I think I understand how it works. That spanner/spacer is pulled back to realase the tensionYeah but….
I made the mistake of thinking (assuming ) he had the F1A engine which is what I had. Was 10 ish years back I did mine.
Different engine it seems.

There is an F1C variant if this one (8140) isn’t right @Machinery restorations
He’s got the manual inbound so will be able to see for himself when it gets there.
Edit. Just looked at the the F1C and that’s a chain so won’t be that then.
Got it. Thanks for the pictures. Appreciated.
