They've been sold to someone now, Langy is importing that NASCAR one for me and it should hopefully be here next week. Wont be the easiest job to fit it as I'll have to make some bends to make it match my headers but other than that it'll hopefully be loud enough to shake the ground!

Now it looks like a pikey's been busy.......sold the little wheels (finally) and my new ones don't arrive until next weekend!!

Got the inside cleaned out too so I can start removing the rust next weekend

I like the Mad Max look so these work nicely, all terrains are a good tyre for the wet/dry anyway and were the only ones I could get in the size I wanted .......plus the fronts and Maxxis 771s which are A/T tyres too

Well I've been productive today!

The new wheels and tyres are on the back, old ones on the front and we have no clearance issues.....following this I cleaned the car out a bit, soda blasted the floor and painted it with some anti rust primer and topcoat. Means tomorrow I can drop the dash back in........no idea why I took it out in the first place. Dumb move!

I also had a play about with the exhaust position and got it into a spot I'm happy with

those pipes are totally awesome mate....i once had a 77 trans-am with side zoomies and even in winter i drove with the windows down for the sound. Ide love that old ford you have there.

Not in 3.5"!

I'm no where near Langy anyway so getting custom bends made up is an issue, going to get the collectors and then get my local exhaust shop to bend up some tube once I've welded the exhaust mounts into position

It should do once I get it fitted hoping to have the dash and wiring back in tomorrow. If so I may run it off the headers a bit just to see if I can **** off the neighbours!

Little bit of progress today, dash partially back in. Still need to finish hooking up the random wires, work out where the vac line was (I should have noted it) and repair a crack but it fired right up once I put the important ones back together!

So first up.......nothing really went to plan this week.......on friday I picked up some steel but it was a bit on the thick side for the roof so that was a no go today. But I do have new seats!

This was followed by a stupid moment when you sell your running 351 V8, agree to buy a Dodge Charger 440 Mopar engine and decide that a running, driving, plumbed in and wired properly engine swap is doable in a week for an engine that was never intended to fit the bay or even made by the same company.......this has been thoroughly thought through........


And then remember the whole thing about not following the white rabbit down the rabbit hole......yeah........about that......just had to keep seeing how deep the rust went didn't I.


Oh the front end is just engine swap prep btw
