Must be worth trying as you already have it.
I used a similar gun to do side panels and fairing off a GPz600 many moons ago, paint pot is not big enough for car panels but perfect for small stuff.
I cant believe how dated my gear is. I've had a look in the back of my garage and found four Aerograph and a Badger airbrushes. Amongst them was a Sprite Major and a Super 63.
I paid more for them 50 years ago than the modern ones of better quality and more versatile use.

Ok so it has arrived today. I will get a chance to test it next week.
so did mine, I tried it and its as good (or as bad) as my other one. side by side there isnt much difference in performance, but there is a needle stop on the new one so its easier to get a very fine spray pattern consistantly.

My others have the needle stop as well. I just wanted it for the extra capacity really.
thought I might go a bit off topic
but with one of the models Im making I was thinking about how to hold it so I could paint it as its quite delicate and most of the part needs to be painted, so my solution was to superglue a frame together from the strips of wood I get as packaging on small diameter metal bars and use rare earth magnets to stick it to the part being painted.
its easy to remove to do other work on the part of the boat.
I always planned to mount the deck to the boat with magnets (in different positions) so for painting the hull, it was a case of making a metal plate to mask the inside
I've suddenly started to appreciate magnets more
and you can get small glass jars (41ml) from wilko for storing small quantities of mixed paint in.

unfortunatley my local one had sold out, so I ended up getting jars of jam and marmalade from Home Bargains for 25p a jar.

Not cost effective unless you are really going to use it a lot but I finish and refinish stuff with a ceramic element to the paint and they always look great when I have done them.
