if the bolts are 2 long I will either replace or cut them down and fit wingnuts
just what i decided to do after teatime, took the top adjusting part off my el cheepo workmate ,fabricated some wooden brackets out of waste material and hey presto i now have a very substantial workmate that is far stronger than new ,and i have fitted a scrap piece of kitchen worktop ,held in place with the vice mechanism giving me a nice long large portable bench ,They are very long, I shortened all four and have fitted dome headed nuts to act as lock nuts and neaten it up a bit.
How sad is that? Customising a forty quid saw stand, but no Quadrphenia style mirrors or Kit like light show here!

200mmx200mmx1000mm approxSo lads, how much space do these take up when folded/collapsed? Do they occupy a small footprint?

will be easy enough to make it fit with a bit of plywood or metalIt looks like my rage chopsaw wont fit on the stand I bought,
anyone want it before I take it back for a refund?
Im at YO8, but get around Yorkshire.
yep i attached mine to plywood then to the brackets ,works fine, if the extensions are in the way ,remove the plastic inserts and everything should slide out.It looks like my rage chopsaw wont fit on the stand I bought,

So we've all got one, apart from @cumbriasteve
Mine is currently folded up in the hall, much to my wife's dismay - she doesn't understand that you must keep your mitre stand to hand at all times, just in case a scenario requiring its immediate deployment occursI dont either....find kneeling on the floor and wooden blocks much easier honest...
Actually I dont, my evolution saw is screwed to a black and decker workmate. And have a couple of tressel type stands when required. Mostly used to chop up all sorts of crap wood for sticks to be chopped.
The makita saw only comes out for real wood work of which I do very little now.
Though they do fold up quite small storage of all these gadjets does take up a fair bit of space when added up..
yup handy, dont regret buying mine.got to use the saw today on the stand .there quite robust and well worth the money dont know how I managed without one . time saved and bending down all the time in use
