Oh for sure there are still many bonafide vendors on Leboncoin but this last year saw peak chicanery there. You obv knew (know) your way around the site if you were buying brocante type gear so you probably looked at what else they had to sell and how long they had been selling. It is defo not the best place at the moment, if it's local to me I will phone them and ask for a meet somewhere in the middle, if it's not I will think twice.I used to buy stuff from leboncoin regularly. Old stoves from France. I never had a problem, apart from my dreadful French, but I'd contact sellers, arrange collection from half a dozen people then nip across the channel rounding them up and thoroughly enjoying the trip. Bring them home, fix them up and bang them out on fleabay. Stopped now because all good things come to an end but fun while it lasted.
