Fractions are a doddle. Divide half an inch by two 1/2" > 1/4" or by four 1/8".
Measuring centipedes must be difficult because they won't keep still. Also, do you have to multiply the result by 100 legs?

It’s getting 10 of them to stay lined up when measuring a belt billet that’s the problem. The wee beggers get all over the place, and don’t start me on that chrysalis thing. Nothing worse than having to recheck your measurements when a butterfly bursts forth at the wrong moment.
