My lock picking started at about 11 years old. I had a padlock with an impressively complicated key. My best friend opened it with an electrical terminal screwdriver in two seconds. The padlock had a master key mechanism at the far end of the keyway and the screwdriver would be able to open all of the range. I showed it to a friend's Dad called Alfie Green. It turned out he was a notorious peterman. He showed me how to open anything and how to bypass alarms too. His problem was he always got caught because he used the same MO. When I bought my first house I was up the ladder painting when a policeman and the owner of a car parked outside appeared. They were trying to get into the car as the owner was locked out. After 20 minutes I got fed up and asked what their problem was. I went into my garage and while the policeman was on the opposite side messing about with a coat hanger, I slipped a flat rule down the window rubber and opened the lock and put the rule in my pocket quickly. I said it was open and got back up the ladder. The copper kept insisting that I come down and show him what I had done but I said no. I do have one very old lever padlock that I can't open and it's a thing of beauty. On my shipping container I have the regular padlock tightly cased in 6mm steel with rebar welded on all straights so you can't use bolt cutters or use lock picks.

are u any good at opening an ingersol rand high security lock where u can only get keys cut if u have the original paperwork on who bought it

well I have one with one key so really its not much use to me in case I loose my keys. just curious to know if anyones any good at getting in to it some might be some might not

Where I worked many years ago, the insurance insisted we fitted humongous Chubb padlocks. One night we had a break in by a ex employee, he took the keys & lobbed them in the canal. In the morning, bosses were all looking & wondering what to do to open up, I said nothing, got a hand drill & quietly started to drill the rivets out of the laminations of the locks. It took all of 10 minutes & I had the lock apart & the doors open, with a battery drill, I reckon it would only take a couple of minutes to open one.
I've got into it in the last 6 months as my get out of jail card if there is bu55er all on TV in the evening and I can't be ar5ed to do anything more productive.
Bought a half decent set of pick blanks from Law Lock Tools and knocked up some brass handles to give them a bit more weight and a nice tactile feel.
The workmanship that goes into some of the handles people make is absolutely incredible. Mine are completely amateur in comparison. Take a look on the UKLockSport forum.

id like to se this one getting picked or even cut off with a portable grinder . it was on a portacabin with a thick square steel box over it . u could hardly get it to unlock with the keys
good if u scored it before it got fitted and locked mind 
its a monster its sat on a 6inch belt

When you say "Pick blanks" I assume you mean the pre cut picks without the handle scales? You can also get plain stainless blanks from Law so you can make your own pick profiles from scratch.
I really rate the Law Lock tools stuff, But I've found I REALLY don't like picking with his "Lite" range (The "Lite" range is his bare one piece stainless pick without handle plates, The Pro range has these handles, but cost twice as much). The edges are too thin, So if you need to put any pressure behind them for a while they start to hurt. The handle area flexes a bit more than I'd like too. It messes with the amount of feedback I get. The Pro pick on the other hand are absolutely beautiful. Comfortable in the hand, Amazingly finished and feel very natural to use...... But we are then looking at £7.50 a pick rather than the lite's £3.50. It probabbly wouldn't be as hard a decision if they were £4.50 and £7 to be honest.
Your pick handels look really good. I'm assuming you've used epoxy to fix them on? Personally I'd probabbly have had go at the edges with a file and some wet+dry to make the stainless blade blend in with the sides of the handel plates, But despite that preference, I'd have to say that I'd still be quite proud of how they turned out if that was my handywork. Bet you can feel a hell of a difference in rigidity from before and after fitting them.
I'm really liking the look of that pick that's second from the right in your first picture. It probabbly wouldn't fit comfortably in too many locks, But I bet when it does fit you could use that to shove the driver AND key pin right up out of the plug and into the lock body, even on the locks back pin !

i bought these a couple of weeks back and im hooked, its good fun and i can open most of the padlocks i have around the place,
ive not tried any yale type locks yet but will pick up a few old ones to mess about with.
has made me think about increasing the security a bit though...

With the little swing-over keyhole protectors?
The Ingersol Rand padlocks were used on electrical subs and on gas governor housings when i was in that game. I think they are still on the gas but lecky seem to use different ones. They were suited(Sp?) to cover certain permissions i.e outer compound, inner compound, sub doors, panels etc. Some were specific to district engineers only.
Had to get a few off in the past especially on seldom-used ones or where kids had filled the key holes with glue or resin. The days before cordless grinders so 2 of us used to swing on them with a 6' bar. Generally the lock or staple gave way first.
I've got a couple but not very high security given that most of IUS, NEDL and YEDL probably still have keys.

I have the same set, I got a clear plastic padlock with mine so that you can practice and see how the tumblers are lifted, years ago I made some picks from pieces of hacksaw blades, I used to be able to rake open a Yale lock in about 10 to 15 seconds,

Try it yourself. There's probably a video on YouTube for Ingersolls. Have a practice on an easier lock first.

im more used to burning them off with small oxyacet bottles in a haversack using a cutting torch
