The reason for building it was more as a project at the time. I've since used it as a demo and had some work out of it in the process.

Baby on way also so I've got plenty to spend my money on, and could do with a few new bits for the workshop if there's anything left over.

After a year or so of research, I've finally started my atv trailer build.

Tandem walking axles, possibly multi-body, tipping trailer. Five feet long and four feet wide, and I've opted for a smaller tyre/wheel in four 18x8.50x8 with lawn type tread to hopefully save my lawn.

I'll try and keep this up to date but apologies if I slip.......

Oh and it's going behind a Sportsman 500

So far just the tandem bars

say feen... in process of building the walking axles on my end... have a Q? for you... what kind of hub did you use for the walking axles..... to make them pivet.... thanks for the help...... i have the hubs for the wheels just need the 2 for the walking axles....

I used six of these hubs/spindles on the build.

Have you tried Northern Tools?

Also, check out the thread on Welding Web, there's a lot of references for walking axles on there too.

You should start a thread of your own.

Sleeves for outer spindles fitted and center axle beefed up with spindles fitted. Just need to buff and fit outer hubs/spindles and the sub-frame will be complete.
