It kept telling me there is no filament loaded in the external slot.
Which makes no sense as its running the AMS.

The external slot is not the ams. It's if you are using a single filament.

This shows mine. I don't have an ams.

Yes I know the external slot is for non AMS but it's set to use the AMS.

So.its confusing.

@ukracer I have attached the stl (you will have to change the file extension from txt to stl) I haven't put it through Bambu Studio but if you have problems with it then I will and upload the 3mf.

I have had my AMS in pieces for 4 hours. It's a pile of crap. Just testing now.

Don't despair. I can ask my lad if he'll have a chat with you later. Maybe even WhatsApp video call or remote in to the pc/printer.

Maybe best to go back to basics?
Disconnect the AMS and see if you can import/ slice/remote access/print etc successfully with just the external spool. Start with a print from the sd card then import/ slice/print something. You may have a faulty printer or ams or it may just be something you are doing. Start at the beginning and go one step at a time to find out where the issue is, best of luck

Sorted it late last night. But the cardboard rolls are not heavy enough when they get low. So I needed more white.
I did him one to take to school in red and black.
Not as striking but still impressive.


I had done exactly what you are suggesting. Printer printed quite well. But not as good quality as it did with my 1st print Bench. I did use AMS for that and it was PLA.

It worked. What I meant was it's really really cheap components and they are had to take apart for the 1st time. Stupid short cable make it hard to fit them back in.
Real cheap build quality.

It's back running again.
