Which type was it?
2% lanthanated or pure are good choices!

I could make @doubleboost (and pretty much everyone else...) feel far better about their own accidents by sharing an image of an injury I sustained about ten years ago; turns out they use a citrus fruit scale to describe the swelling at the hospital I attended - I was a grapefruit.

No, cycling related - pedal hit a tree stump, bike stopped but I didn't, groin met handlebar stem... you get the idea!

Very close to the radial artery. If you had pulled that out, and there was an arterial bleed, (bright red blood, pulsing) then if possible apply firm pressure the wound, enough to blanch your thumbnail for at least five minutes, or until you get to the hospital. Torniquet if that doesn’t work.

Nasty injury bonny lad! but it is a split second thing, I carved my leg open with a 9" grinder with a cup brush on, I bet you thought the same as me, "F*CK, thats a hospital job", take it easy John, and I hope you are better soon!
