Yes just taped a bag over it for a shower . Changed the dressing . It all looks nice and settled .

This is "mechanic" problem - covering wounds to keep them clean from dirt - but wounds heal better if uncovered in the air.

Bah, when I cut through 3 of my fingers with a skil saw I went and had a shower BEFORE going to A&E. Ate the lunch my missus had just called me for (the distraction that caused the accident in the first place)

Hell no my fault. I was laying some garden paving and had a timber frame that needed cutting down. The battery went flat on the saw and she called me for lunch so I turned to look at her, the frame toppled and I put my hand under it whilst the blade was spinning down. Dumb clumsiness on my part.

Nearly shat myself this afternoon .
I had 8 LED replacement floodlight arrive yesterday and planned to install one over the bandsaw this afternoon to replace one that died a few weeks ago . Now as I'm getting on , now 72 , I put a ring main for flood lights up in the garage on a 5 amp breaker with twelve double gang switched sockets on it, 18 yrs or more ago , so I can easily turn the ring off at the consumer unit , undo a wing nut or screw & unplug a dead light .
I'm stood on the third step, two more to go as I reached up to unplug the de powered dead light , as I pulled the plug out the socket something horrible an inch or so long by a good 1/4 inch fat , black & yellow fell out the bottom of the plug where the thin power cable enters and dropped down into my sleeve .
I realised it was a hibernating queen wasp ..have you ever had that invisible hand feeling ? Where it reaches down from your sternum grabs hold of the family jewels and pulls them up into your ribcage ....... I did .
I got off the steps bloody quick , once on the floor carefully took off my two jumpers and was rewarded with a big fat hibernating queen wasp just starting to move & benefit from the warmth I'd given her.
One squatilized ex queen wasp later , I started breathing again ....
Size 10 feet come in handy .
It didn't take me anywhere nearly as long to get the jumpers back on as it did to get them off me , the minus 6 oC helped Though I did need to do a quick trousers check .
