I wouldn’t hold my breath, predicting weather beyond a couple of weeks is a bit of a stab in the dark.Fear not, warmer weather is on the way......

Never let facts get in the way of a good bit of brainwashingQuite. If you watch the met office youttube channel you'll see that the first week of this month the weather was bng on average for the time of year. The rainfall is a little above average now but not so much that it's news-worthy.
Looks like London is going to get the highest temps anywhere...Fear not, warmer weather is on the way......

My wife is away camping with the girl guides at Gilwell park, rather her than me!
Gilwell is about 5 miles from me! I don't think they got much sleep, nothing blew away but lots of extra ropes and pegs, her tent had a sewn in ground sheet so that would not have been able to take off when occupied, too heavy!

My dad blagged a couple of hefty canvas RAF ridge tents back in the 70's, and we'd all go away and spend a week in them, joined end to end with a fly sheet making a central 'porch'.I had a habit of storm lashing my ridge tent when bad weather was forecast, a particularly bad night one spring at Barmouth saw one tent literally blown away while another only stayed due to the occupants spending the night holding onto it instead of sleeping
I was probably born to camp as my parents took me with them to a scout camp when I was 9 months old!
Maybe get spray foam applied on the roof underside (rip out ceiling first) when you get back ?In N. Devon in caravan and rain bouncing off roof early hours ...deafening, was due to drive back 300 miles. but not sure of the road conditions. So manyana por la manyana. Not on holiday...house clearance.
