Very impressive tech but a complete waste of money and resources.
Musk, Bezos et al seem to following the plot of Ben Elton's dystopian novel "Stark" where the rich realise the Earth is screwed, mainly by their actions, so build spacecraft to escape and screw up somewhere else
Problem is if they have internet access on board they could still post hereIf I could choose which 100 people went on the x number of years journey via SpaceX to Mars with no guarantee of return, then that would be a different matter
Its the populating Mars bit I was referring to. I get the satellite/payload launch bit, that makes sense.

As rockets go, it's relatively benign; only puts out water and CO2. The nastier ones use the big solid propellant boosters which pump out aluminium oxide and hydrogen chloride, which will turn to hydrochloric acid.Where does Greata stand on all the pollution the rocket put's out ?...

O.K. and then what are they going to do once they have accessed space. A bit like climbing Everest. "Well we made it so I suppose we had better head back down then."I've been waiting for years for this thing to launch...I'm delaying my drive today just so I can watch it.
If this works I think this will reduce the cost of accessing space forever!
