It's interesting... I look at a range of newspapers on Readly and online. What I have noticed is that most of the actual news stories are word for word identical to all the other publications. Warts 'n' all. That shows that they all scrape them from the same source, regardless of agenda or accuracy.

Yes you are spot on. They are fed from the same source. Or copied from the one fed bull crap.
I managed/followed the press reports for many years as the xpress and star turned against us in 2003.
Many officers refused to give details to them so they made the stories up.
We spoke to many officers who said apart from attacking us even when they gave the facts, when their facts were published it almost always ( unless it was a few lines in the middle of the paper) bore no resemblance to the truth or the facts.

What’s really interesting about this whole story is how we propel a sensational story that aren’t true.

The truth behind this story is so mundane that it’s not worth a mention (how many other things flapped around in the wind in the last few days).

In this case the ‘fire’ was so easily dis-proved, but what about all the times a sensational story cannot be easily dis-proved. Then we get aliens, yetis, Bigfoot….

The mundane reality behind most of these sensational stories wouldn’t get many clicks.

Blackpool is one of the few places I've never been in england. Is it worth a visit or is it a larger version of great Yarmouth?

I go as far as the airport, and occasionally fly over. Landing procedure is tactical landing, approach too low and someone will have the wheels off.

Been to both several times and can honestly say that Gt Yarmouth is a genteel centre of culture in comparison.

We were burgled about 15 years ago, the missus arrived home and disturbed the intruder who run into the field. The wife called the cops they should have turned up immediately as the perp could have returned once they realised my wife was on her own, but they didn't.

The reason they gave was that all manpower was busy dealing with a load of drunks on the train from Blackpool, they unloaded them at Hebden Bridge to sober up. There's loads of bars in Hebden Bridge.......

I begrudgingly took the kids to the waterpark in Blackpool earlier this year. We went early and didn't hang around. I believe the people that are attracted to Blackpool share brain cells. It makes a post apocalypse landscape look attractive.

Great Yarmouth is the only place ive actually seen real live jobbies and other toilet flushings floating in the sea!

I've seen these in Cornwall, ironically in a place called Looe !

It remains the only airfield I’ve flown from where I’ve looked down on take off and just as we crossed the boundary fence there were police and ambulance zipping a local crackhead into a body bag
