That must be a meaty fly press! We're you bending it hot?Thank you both
There are a few more now, 28 in total all bent up on the fly press, just need to chop the ends off to make the lengths uniform and then weld them onto the posts (hopefully in the right place)

You can just about see my wotsits in the photo too.
It's only a Denbigh No 4 (4 ton), no it was bent cold. 25x8 flat bar, not too bad in a fly press. With the tooling I use I often find if I do it hot I end up over bending it.That must be a meaty fly press! We're you bending it hot?
No, chocolate spread on toast for breakfast I'm not seven years old I promise. No thanks we don't want to see your wotsits
But need to know

Tie the dog to the unused anvil till the gate is done?Maybe I'm being ambitious, and it is going to take me a while to get finished, but this is the gate I have designed and will make, I'll keep the progress going in this thread.
No welding, all riveted and collared together.

The outer frame will be 25x12 flat bar and the uprights 16mm square, the scrolls probably 16x6 or 16x8 depending what looks better when I've been able to mock up a scroll with the frame.
I'll hinge it with two riveted on pins on the outer frame and pintles bolted to the wall, and I'll forge a latch too for the other side.
Ultimately all it needs to do is keep the dog in but I thought a good excuse to go mad and practice traditional methods. Dog can keep escaping until it's finished.

That'll be lovely when done.
I'd rather have the genuine originalCan't beat a forged gate.
How is that powered hand human or an electric motor ,,if a motor can we have a few more pictures and some details please ?And back to actual work,
Built a ring roller yesterday and finished it off this morning and just rolled the first ring, not bad at all.
That's 25x8 flat, can't see why it wouldn't roll bigger, I could just do with putting a bigger handle on both the height adjustment and the roller.
