Blast cabinet refurb.

It's been ages since I acquired this and the time has come to fix it and put it to use. U have just made a new screen and will seal the edge with some foam strip

Questions are.

Will the door stay closed or will the pressure force it open.

Can i use the cabinet with my pressure pot or is it not worth it.

I see people use a vacume on the cabinet do i need to do this.

No, it is to clear the dust so you can see what you are doing, its a no go without one on that size cabinet. Mine is similar and you really need some vacuum to clear the way.

i only use mine for beadblasting small parts and have cut a 4 inch hole up in the side and fitted some mesh and flexible ducting and u can just fit a cheap inline fan on the end the cabinet is 2 small for using a pressure pot

ok got it so one of those inline bathroom fans like in the other thread of brads that will do the job? do I need to collect what gets pulled out or is that just dust?

i just stick the hose out of the door there isnt a great amount of dust so what bit there is i just sweep up

Im thinking out loud thats a great thick piece of glass or is it plasic viewing window I would be tempted to protect it a bit with some clear film or a thin piece of plastic between the screen and what you blasting, if it is plastic it wont last long, Just my thoughts

its is perspex, I could protect it but i am sure it can be polished out when it becomes opaque, I am not blating the lid just what is below

no bullets inside! just sand or ali oxide, clear film ould probaly fall apart quick and make polising it even longer!

cool thanks, why has your cabinet got 2 inlets or did u just put a hose stright in rather tha n use the qr coupling.
