For my small speedboat I welded the plates to 5mm box to make the axle, the indespension units are bolted straight to the plate. Im still in the process of making the trailer so ill be welding the bracket frame for the mudflaps. By the way. Hi all, new guy here.
Have you lowered it so you dont have to reverse as far into the water? My mate has an extension, 6ft bit of angle iron with another hitch at one end and two holes at the other end that match up with the bolts that hold the hitch on the trailer. Very simple but effective
