I'm not normally a lucky person with things like this but agree, this is a very good result.

No worries. Basically there is one of those huge o rings on either side of the bund and the massive nut squishes them up between the flange formed by the pipe into the inner tank, either side of the bund and the nut.

I was surprised how tight he went on the large nut - i never would have been brave enough!

He said you get issues if the inner pipe has turned in its thread on the inner tank but didnt seem worried about mine.

Overall, very pleased and will get oil shopping tomorrow. I'm down to 50L for my temporary tank and the local place has taken their kerosene pumps out!
