For those who are still looking for the Amphnol-Connectors, there is a much cheaper variant from aliexpress available. At RS and all this distris you pay 25+ € for one, at Ali I payed 25€ for 2 sets of connectors, cable-, box, male and female.
I don´t know if they are made from plastic or casted metall, will see in a few weeks. I just ordered some.
In an older post I read about defective FRONIUS 41.0003.0145 (maybe an IGBT?), does anyone know if there is a comparison type for this? or where can you still get such a component? Thanks from Austria!
Hello everybody, I'm Peter from Belgium, recently owner of a 2nd hand Castotig 2002 ac/dc.
I followed this thread of already 14 pages now and I hafe some questions about the foot pedal for this machine. @Macfun@HughF@Dutch Welder@alexandruvlad were involved.
I've got some mixed (sometimes contradictory) information. in the first picture the resistors on the footpedal pcb I can see 3 (2% precision ) resistors of each 10k Ohm. In the chematic of the tr 52 mc these values are completely different.
Which ones shoud I use?
2nd Question about the foot pedal:
When i measure the resistance of the main potmeter to set up the welding current i get 0 - 3k1 Ohm.
In the middle position I still get 2K75 Ohm. (instead of 1k55) whitch make me conclude that this is not a linear pot but rather a logaritmic.
Shoudn't the 2k2 pot in the pedal be a logaritmic as well?
If you can't sort this question out, I could check it here on mine.
Or you can come home (near Brussels).
Mostly french and english speaking, my flemish is old and rusty from school time !!
Super coincidence Macfun, I'm also living near Brussels and though I'm flemisch, like a good Belgian sitizen, je parle aussi le language de Voltaire.
I'll wait a moment to see if thera are more replies. If not I'll contact you in a pm for a rendez-vous. thanks for the proposal!
That is how I connected it @Macfun
However there are 2 things not working properly:
1) I preset the main current with the potentiometer on the Castotig, let's say 80 Amps
(foor pedal attached) I get about 4 amps with the pedal unpressed (so far, so good).
When I press the pedal slightly, The switch activates and the current display shows "80" (my preset).
When I continue to gradualy press the pedal to the bottom nothing changes, it stays at "80".
2) The pedal switch does not initiate the HF arc. It is still activated with the left switch on my torch.
Shoud I remove the torch-7-pole connector when the foot pedal is connected?
Originaly the footpedal is equipped with 2 capacitors, each of 10nF
one between the 10v and the mid terminal of the pot, the second between the mid terminal and the gnd.
So between gnd & 10v we've got 2 x 10nF in series, or 5nF.
In the schematics of the tr52c or the circuit drawn by @Alexandr there are 2 capacitors of 2n2 in parallel or 4n4 which i didn't mount.
Anyhow, i guess these capacitors are there to avoid interferencies on other electric/electronic devices, so 5n or 4n4 won't make much of a difference in the functionality I suppose?
