I'm afraid to say that Wilko is no longer able to luxuriate on top of the amp, as I've (deliberately) fitted a shelf above the amp that is sufficiently close that it precludes feline access. The reason is that the heat-seeking missile that is my cat was not only blocking the ventilation ducts in the top of the amp, but depositing fine downy fur over the amp and its insides.We had a cat many years ago that spent a lot of time snoozing on top of the VHS video machine, it was always plugged in and nicely warm, a perfect cat radiator.
When the video machine finally died I noticed the top of the metal casing was significantly stoved in, from years of supporting a fairly lardy luxuriating moggy
So now he sleeps on the shelf above the amp. He still benefits from the warm up-draughts, just not quite as directly...
