Sorry for your loss, she looks like a beutiful fluff ballLost our little cat Remy yesterday way too soon only 13 thought we would have a few more years yet. She was left in a cardboard box with a litter and always loved jumping in them if we left one out. Came home for lunch yesterday and she jumped of the chair to see me walking funny within 30mins couldn't move her legs vet said it was a blood clot from heart disease that blocked the main artery. Kids have never seen me cry but I did yesterday I dont mind admitting had a few cats over the years but never one with so much character. Lost it again today feeding her son (the only kitten that survived) when I saw the special dinner we bought her for Christmas.
RIP Remy View attachment 473352View attachment 473353

Cheer mate so trueSorry for your loss...
The older I get - I think I like cats and dogs better than people - and the loss of them hits me harder!
Sorry for your loss. I was devastated when we lost Bramble earlier this year. Nothing prepares you for it but they bring us so much joy when they're around that it's worth the pain overall. I'm sure you've got loads of lovely memories of her that will stay with you for ever.Lost our little cat Remy yesterday way too soon only 13 thought we would have a few more years yet. Kids are really cut up especially my son as in the last few years she spent half the day in his bedroom he was a super upset and still is but like you say need to focus on the good times and how good a life we gave her even if she choose to spend most of it staring at her eyelids !Sorry for your loss. I honestly think this household would be a less homely place without a cat or dog always around . I love dogs but wife would never have one she was adamant we wont replace Remy but we never could, I see it as giving a creature another loving home its saddens me to think there are cats like Remy in shelters all over the country just wanting a warm house and comfy chair or sofa to spread out on. The workshop is my realm and the house is hers but I think this i one thing that I really will be adamant about and plan to get my way.Tarmac was a left behind cat, broke my hard when I had to take her to vet the friendliest cat I have had both her and her son died in 12 month period.
@dieselsamurai my wife does not want any more but it leaves a hole
you would never guess he was feral looks well fed ! my old neighbour used to feed cats when they turned up in her back garden to the point where someone came round and told her to stop doing it as he spent more time with her than with them !!
When we moved house our two cats stayed with her as the new house was going to be a building site for years and they were quite old, they had good lives and i got to see them most weekends so it was win win really
Wife is not sure whe should get another animal when our other cat goes but i think having something you can take care of and get rewarded with little things even if just being pleased to see you is very good for your mental health, yeah it hurts when they go but the rewards over the years are worth far more. I could quite easily live with out dealing with most humans i meet but all of the pets i have in my lifetime have given me so much without really wanting much
My old cat Alfie used to wait for me on the wall at the end of our drive when i came home from school and then when i started work , when i left home he carried on doing that for many months i feel quite sad about that now looking back
