Talking to BiL today, seems he has been around for quite a while. Seven or Eight years, possibly longer. So no idea how old he is.
Curiously, his coat looks way too clean and in good condition to be living rough, but they are good at cleaning themselves.
Under SWMBOs orders, I have been cutting some timber to make a cat house (not that type) for him.

You can get them ready made from Amazon, this one has a couple of inches of Alpaca wool (free from a neighbour) topped with a pet blanket and the occupant seems to love it.

Wormed both cats last night, huge tablets and a real fight with the wee tabby despite how docile she is. Tried the big black and white and she's having none of it, l end up bleeding so definitely a two people job but l have fooled her in the past with Dreamies. She will catch them nearly every time so 3 Dreamies then the tablet straight down.

Used to wrap ours in a towel with just their head sticking out.

Our old boy used to be like this. He was a gentle soul, so friendly and cuddly, and would put up with being manhandled by kids without any drama, UNTIL we tried to worm him with tablets. He became a ferocious snarling beast, with jaws and claws. Had to wear welding gauntlets. Until we discovered worming droppers, like the Frontline flea treatment you put on their neck.. He must admire the perpendicular, because he is using it now ! I can't get a photo yet, because he hears the door open, and immediately comes out to remind us he is hungry. Despite being fed 15 minutes previously.

Say hello to the latest addition to the family, apparently having 2 cats already isnt enough and we 'needed' a kitten. 8 week old female who is called Penny, just arrived this afternoon.
