Ooh is that my new toy, I like iPads.
did it kill the magpies I hope soOur cat Wilko was gone for well over 15 hours yesterday and missed his evening meal (this never happens) so I had to start scouring the neighbourhood for him. I was only about 200 yards away from the house (as the crow flies) when I heard this familiar meowing. I couldn't figure where on earth it was coming from until I realised it was above me. Quite a long way above me...
It turned out that he'd been sent up this (big) conifer by the house owners dogs, and then sent further up the tree by a pair of magpies nesting in the tree. When I found him he was about 6 foot off the top of the tree, level with the pointy bit of the gable end in the photo below. That has to be at least thirty foot up.

By now it was nearly midnight and all I could see were two cats eyes staring back at me when I shone a torch up there. In consultation with the house owner we decided he'd have to stay the night up there until we could call out the Fire brigade in the morning. I was just about dozing off at quarter to two in the morning when I got a text saying 'your cat is on his way home'. Ten minutes later and he was meowing outside the back door.
Unsurprisingly enough he's done very little apart from eating, sleeping and drinking water today...
No, unfortunately not. I think he's a bit frit of them...did it kill the magpies I hope so

I have an app/ game on my iPad that he loves so much so we had to wean him off of it.That is a “I wonder if it can fly” look.
