I thought I could just spray high build straight on top of the barcoat?
So it would be acrylic thats on already- barcoat - celly high build - celly top coat
think we may be at crossed purposes here mate
Barcoat is an isolator primer, it stops reactions between incompatible paint types, once you spray the barcoat, you cannot flat it/ rub it down, the barcoat must stay intact, therefore you spray a primer over the top, as you say hi build,
So really you are spraying barcoat then your hi build primer then your colour coat, then possible a clear coat if using basecoat and laquer
