Well some people do not recognise class when they fall over it Steve. I used to get an audience when I was in full flow on a respray. Its truly an art. Where are the bids mate. Would benefit our Irish friend.

no masks Steve, i had a a window put into the pedestrian door of the boothe. There was a small entrance fee and i sometimes played to the balcony with an elaborate freestyle display. It usually ended with a bogey tho:

I am bringing that thread back from the dead.

So about 1 and half year has past, a lot of stuff have mess with my paint projects. However I am coming back on it.
I shall have in about 1 month finally the time on hand to try to learn a new skill.

Now, I wish to paint on metallic Surinam red, 1 door, and a roof panel, and the touch up on the wing.

I was looking at the primer and I am a little lost.
I am looking for a primer which can be use under the basecoat (red mettalic) would something like this do the trick

or does it have to be something like this as it is a basecoat and not celly.

I need a non iso paint as I don't have the safety gear, unlikely that I will ever get them unless I start doing a lot of paint but at my speed we are lucky if the car get finish this year.
It is mechanically sorted, that is already good.

Most kinds of primer will be fine. Don't bother with that iso free 2k primer, it's no better than celly/1k primer. Epoxy primer would be your best bet though.

The upol primer will be fine, I have used it before, I also bought the ISO free 2k primer and the upol is easier to sand
