Wouldn't white tape be fine? Why would you need yellow (for fuel gas)?

I tighten this as slight air leak and the internal thread popped. Can both this parts be bought ffs?

Now you know why it was £50, overtightened by a gorilla who got scared and ran away when the spring took off
Low priced compressors tend to have very cheap fittings, if you have a local place that sells to the trade, buy from them. They won't stock junk.
BTW get a filter regulator the one supplied will not last, you do not need an oiler. On some days you get a lot of water and some you don't get any, but one drop will wreck the gloss finish.

If anyone is interested, the guy today at the specialist compressor shop (AMA Belfast) said white is OK also.
