That should be fine for most things I do so will likely grab one.According to the specs on mine 3mm minimum.
I can't see them much cheaper than £15 for a box of 10.
You don't do any cutting with the insert corners on these machines, it's all cutting using the sides of the insert. So corner rad doesn't really make any difference. My £6 cheapy arrived and looks good. Wont have access to my compressor for a few days tho.
The one I linked is now showing as £13.40 with the discount
Looking at inserts, I like the idea of the 1mm or 1.5mm radius type, but do they work well in this? I cant see them much cheaper than £15 for a box of 10.
This sort. I realise they look exactly like standard cheap inserts that have had a tiny bit of ground out. I am not sure this chip breaker design was a good choice for radius inserts..You don't do any cutting with the insert corners on these machines, it's all cutting using the sides of the insert. Just make sure you don't buy fine finishing grades, as the edges will fly to bits...
Ordered £13.40, along with 100 aaa batteries for £16 and some petg filament for £9.My £6 cheapy arrived and looks good. Wont have access to my compressor for a few days tho.

They're not really a precision tool.Just received mine.
Not impressed with the finish it gives but it was only £20 so can't complain
Conventional cut gives a better finish it seems

What's the proper direction? Mine didn't come with anything except a parts diagram. What do you mean by a conventional cut? Are you using the tool in the proper cutting direction? A roller guide cutter should give a pretty consistent finish.

Assuming a clockwise rotation looking from above, pushing the tool away from you with material to the left of the tool would be a conventional cit
