I've had a Hotmail account for a very long time, it's my main email account. I also have a gmail as well as ISP email. The ISP one I don't bother with, all download emails to Thunderbird to allow off server storage. Hotmail is junk filtered on the server and will only download stuff from the Inbox and not Junk.
