They sell them as 8kw. In fact they are 4kw.@fizzy what output is your unit and how much fuel does it use? I have a propane space heater in my double garage but it chucks out too much condensation so I need to find something else that's cheaper than leccy. Presumably these need an external pipe for exhaust fumes?
5000 hours on kero isn't that good enough?I've been thinking about one of these for the past couple of years. Problem with the cheap ones is there seems to be no consistency of supply and reliability - a good one might be a bad one next week, kind of thing, when it comes to supply.
I suppose they're cheap enough to just roll the dice.
Interested to see the point made by a youtuber about mixing kero with diesel to prolong the pump life.
I think the Oz version of Kero is the lighter (C1) stuff so not so good at lubrication as our Kero (C2)?5000 hours on kero isn't that good enough?
Yes I think that is paraffin. But our Kero is ultra low sulphur as well these days.I think the Oz version of Kero is the lighter (C1) stuff so not so good at lubrication as our Kero (C2)?
But I could still be confused![]()

That is the type I have. I drilled a 25mm hole through the brickwork, angled down (by luck rather than judgement) and I run it through a 30 amp power supply.Well, bit the bullet, threw caution to the wind and splunked a hunnert quid.
Free shipping, but not quite sure if the duty and VAT is cleared on the price, which is twenty quid more than the normal UK price.
I wanted an all-in-one unit as it's going indoors to heat the corner of a cold room with no heating but expensive portable electric.![]()

Better go and get some kero now. Fortunately, the farmer's store has a kero pump, so don't have to buy minimum order quantities.
I buy my red diesel from a forecourt pump. That’ll **Language** them up!This lot: https://www.facebook.com/groups/146837062640024
Ask the difference between red and pump diesel, that will set them off.
Yes you can do that - but I run mine on Kero all the time - far cheaper and cleaner.I buy my red diesel from a forecourt pump. That’ll **Language** them up!
Interestingly, the site I linked to earlier suggests putting the pipe into a can of kero every now and again to de coke and extend service intervals if you’re running solely on diesel. In a vehicle for example
