They sell them as 8kw. In fact they are 4kw.
A 25L tank lasts about 50 hours. Kero is about 50p per litre so 25p per hour v almost 90p for electric.

I've been thinking about one of these for the past couple of years. Problem with the cheap ones is there seems to be no consistency of supply and reliability - a good one might be a bad one next week, kind of thing, when it comes to supply.
I suppose they're cheap enough to just roll the dice.
Interested to see the point made by a youtuber about mixing kero with diesel to prolong the pump life.

I think the Oz version of Kero is the lighter (C1) stuff so not so good at lubrication as our Kero (C2)?
But I could still be confused

Well, bit the bullet, threw caution to the wind and splunked a hunnert quid.
Free shipping, but not quite sure if the duty and VAT is cleared on the price, which is twenty quid more than the normal UK price.
I wanted an all-in-one unit as it's going indoors to heat the corner of a cold room with no heating but expensive portable electric.
Better go and get some kero now. Fortunately, the farmer's store has a kero pump, so don't have to buy minimum order quantities.

When you start it up, prime the pump, then leave it alone. It fiddles and farts about for a few minutes then starts to put out heat.
Another failing is if people mess with the settings.
And when you switch it off, with or without the remote, it takes a few minutes to cool down then shuts off fully. Then turn it off at the wall.

Yes you can do that - but I run mine on Kero all the time - far cheaper and cleaner.

I was in the workshop again yesterday and i was that bloody cold i near boght the electric blower type, good price from toll station but at £45 i thought just bite the bullet and get one. And as i have one for spares why not.
Ill run it for now of 12v until i get a transformer.
