sod it ajusted it and got it to 5,5 restart then 8bar stop will have to reajust it again3HP compressors plated @ 14A typically start off load @ 25A+ and drop to 10A when up to speed (like mine does) the fuse takes no notice of the spike, but MCB do hence the various levels of operational delay available to ignore inrush current. If you have an old school analogue clamp meter you have more chance of seeing the spike. It's a very short duration.
The start circuit takes a beating on compressors hence yours failing, you don't want to adjust the restart pressure too high. Looking at Qwakers pdf your restart @ 3.5Bar is correct.
You can check the tank nonreturn for leaks by filling it and tying a rubber glove over the intake, if it blows up you need a new one, same for the outlet tap. That only leaves the tank drain which can get rust in it and the regulator.
