compressor cant keep up sandblasting

I also used two 3hp 50l comp`s to blast my boat, just get them running the same as in cut out and pressure etc and works fine. Got two comp`s for i think it was £100.

Mine are all in the East barn, but I haven’t been able to go there since lockdown as it’s in a different country.

Having said that there is a cheap way to aquire large diesel engines. Huge ex standby generators. Often they have less than 500 hours on the clock. You can pick up a big V12 or V16 diesel for £3000. Perfect for a big boat.

Needs a new thread I think you could buy a road compressor for less then 3 grand to run a blaster

a suction gun will work on high pressure and when it drops it will still work just nowhere near as powefull . there not the best of things but will take light rust off if your not in a rush pressure pots like a constant high pressure and dont work well if it varies as post 19 snoopes thread try and get another comp to couple together

Dirty Pro are a Derbyshire retailer just rebadging generic items in their brand, cheap and often Chinese rubbish.

For cabinet use I have got a 16cfm petrol compressor with a Clarke pressure pot that I use for small parts. I find the compressor keeps up nicely if I keep the pressure down to 70psi ish which I find more than enough for most items. (3.5mm nozzle)

hi all , thanks for all the info i stayed away from the dirty pro one and got hold off a sip airmate for a cheap price as was spares or repair,, it all works as far a builds pressure up fine however i have a few bits to get for it as it has no pressure regulator so was just after a bit of advice on what i should go for also it has this pipe with what looks like a little switch on it but can't see where it fits so any help would be great

so little brass thing looks like a switch, and last picture is the other end off it

That looks like it should fit into the bottom the on off switch. When the pressure has built up the pin pushes the switch off and dumps the air from the switching circuit so the motor doesn't have to start on full load. There should be a forked clip to keep it in place.

A complete new pressure switch is about £10 for a cheap one IIRC.

piccy on the left looks like a safety valve the switch is air operated worked of a diaphragm inside

You appear to be missing the safety valve from the side of the housing as well.
