I personally wouldn't go for a petrol model for noise / fumes. I have a 3hp(ish) 16cfm (11-12 ACTUAL cfm) 50L tank compressor that runs off single phase 240v. That's as big as we get here in nz to run off single phase, I think its rated to about 20A at start up. But something of this spec is enough for anything you can throw at it. I operate impact gun, rachet, paint guns, sand blast unit etc. Hope that helps.
