Yes 8bar I noticed that as soon as I posted it up, it should fill to 8bar, it run at a working pressure of 4, 4.5 bar, it does have a regulator which is turned wide open.

If it doesn't get up to 8bar its switching off too early, you adjust the pressure switch by removing the black cover where you will see a screw which has an arrow + - increase that slightly till you get to your required pressure.

I had the opposite problem with a Wolf, it kept going 'til the safety valve blew!, had to turn the pressure switch down.

heres what ive done with mine removed the front bung and re-used the the bung seal and screwed in a safety shut off valve followed by a t-piece with a quick release connector and the other constantly connected to the impact wrench.the black rubber pipe is 3/8" internal dia so nearly 10mm and the clear braided pipe is 8mm i connected an air gun to this one ive still to experiment with using the 8mm and the 10mm hose on the impact wrench but its still not that powerful even though ive taken out any restrictions in line theres no regulator lubricator or filter.

i bought the compressor in the first place so i could use a leak down tester on the mx5 engine.
if you havent heard of a leakdon tester its basically a more accurate compression tester which can determine where any leakage is taking place such as inlet or exhaust valves piston rings cracked block and headgasket etc
to see how healthy it is iam getting a 40% loss accross all 4 cylinders with a drop of oil down the spark plug holes it reduces to 20% loss temporarily before the compressed air blows it past the rings and goes back to 40%.
so it needs a rebore of the block and oversize rings fitted to bring it down to 10% which is very healthy.
so thats my next project after welding in new chassis rails :/

impact wrenches have a quite low cfm rating round about the 4 to 8cfm capacity . look up the power rating of your wrench. can be anywhere from 300ft lbs to 500ft lbs torque on the 1/2 inch model .yours might be the smaller of the 2

230 ft lb is verry low thats what your problem is not enough torque .4 to 500 ft lb would be ideal but would cost about £90.00 up over

the other 2 have similar torque poutputs but different cfm what is cfm and what one would you go for in my situation?

just seen 3/4" starts on size 26mm socket upwards!!! so will have to be half inch then.

cromwell tools have a half inch cp wrench for £89 =vat 425ft lbs a good make look in there catalogue it will give u a good idea ps the cfm isnt too critical as there only intermitent use

chicago pneumatic cp 734h page 555 in there catalogue. i have the kobe iws 500 wrench its 300ft lb. wheel nuts is its max im not 2 impressed with it but got it for 30 quid . instead of £73

Hi there, do you have any recommendations for a wall mounted air pressure regulator?
I have a small compressor (x2) that I want to join and use a wall mounted pressure regulator to give me the flow to use air tools. Looking around there appears to be a big variety of options as the cheap Chinese ones which leak to the professional quality ones.
