Does anyone know, why my compresser sludges its own oil with water, It goes milky same sort of look as a failed head gasket in a car...which of course it cant be
It's probably just condensation building up on the housing in the cold weather kind of like a galvanised roof can't think of any other way the water could get in there

It's probably a leaky head gasket, blow-by or it's not warming up in this cold weather, just like a car!
Whe you compress air its humidity increases, so if there is a leak air will expand into the crankcase, cool quickly and the water will condense out and mix with the oil.

It's up to you really. Once you get the head off you might find worn bores or other problems. I'd check the breather first and try to see if there is blow-by causing air to blow out of the breather.
I've done one in the past. There were a couple of flat disc valves, these needed cleaning because they were coked up and I made a new copper gasket made from some thick copper foil I had.

You can get rebuild kits for compressors or new/rebuilt compressors. Not real cost effective on smaller units.
My 10+ old Craftsman is getting slower to fill up and is putting a bit of oil in the air. As I obnly paid $125 for it used, not worth putting a lot of money in it. However, I may get a 2-stage pump and upgrade its capacity; a bit cheaper than a whole new unit.

Nice looking compressor it's probably the pistons rings are getting worn they have a web site and they self-service kits http://www.completecompressedair.co.uk/Compressor.Vacuum.Parts.Service.Kits.html

Thanks scarecrow, It will be worth spending the money on, think it was over £2000 when I bought it......Il find out how much the kits are.
