id use a 110 pvc pipe and with the couperling end id use a bush type of thing shoved in the top as it will centralise the flow into the 110mm pipe

this is for 80mm

Right, just been up a ladder, the cast iron od is 106mm. However it looks like the top fitting is plastic. I'm hoping I may be able to clean this up and get a pvc pipe onto the end of it. It looks like it has already separated.

Pretty sure plastic soil pipe is 110mm od so if you get a socketed length the female end should fit, bit of decent silicone will seal up no probs.

It's plastic alright, taped it and I can see the grey pvc colour at the rear.

I plan to find something like this in black to connect in the 50mm sink waste.

Worst case I'll just paint it black.

Rest bend at the bottom, flexible 45 degree into a rubber boot onto the clay pipe. I'll cut back the clay pipe to a good section.

Hate to say this, is it cast or asbestos?

Most cast has mounting lugs on the joints and asbestos uses clips like the ones in that picture

Have you tried a magnet on it?

Excellent news

I have dropped many cast stacks and that fixing method is unusual

Due to the age and type of property Id be spending the extra on the plastic look a like cast stuff

Here we go, back on the job today. Looks like it's been split for a while.

The chunks at the bottom broke off as I took it down.

My plan is now to leave the bottom section in place and just fit new pipe into the gap as the top and bottom parts are both 110mm plastic push fit.

I will need to patch up the hole in the clay pipe and creat a proper footing for the rest bend.

If you get stuck I think tool station do a rubber soil pipe tee connector too...never knew they did the tee in rubber too (as well as the usual straight connectors)

I think I would be tempted to tear the last bit out and go all plastic, it would look a lot tidier
