If moisture is the issue I'd be looking at mvhr system or an externally vented chimney.

Putting insulated board up on the wall will make quite a difference, even 6mm thick.

interested to see these are made of polystyrene just like the old under wallpaper lining that my dad used, just have a thin layer of cement over each side which presumably helps reduce the flammability
They do look interesting to help reduce cold patches on walls from causing condensation to develop
