I would never contemplate using a car radiator for an airline cooler/condenser.
I think that even modern stuff typically only has a maximum pressure of about 1 bar. The cap is set to release pressure at this point as the safety link so neither the radiator or rubber pipes blow.
Put 10x as much pressure in and you could end up with a serious injury when it lets go.
Some intercoolers may be suitable if placed after a regulator to keep the pressure down, perhaps for spraying.
I think it may have been large intercooler I seen being used, couldn't see a pressure cap. I would never consider using one, got enough scars already! And compressed air is dangerous stuff if not properly managed, not worth the risk when there are safer alternatives. Looks like there using old rads too
