Some ofthat hardcore looks a tad on the big side. 40 or 50 mm down to dust, or better still 32 mm down, then whackit

when we bought this place I asked the builder to get a load of clean topsoil to finish the back garden, arrived to find 20 tonnes of clay had been laid

That's not the same thing, this I can live with, the fact half of my hard core resembles sand....

But soil for clay is two different kettles of fish.

you got a quarry delivery

as goes for the side part well id concrete base it and fit a new shelter over the whole base with the 4 post inside

made high enough so you can work on high vehicles as well
