If you wouldn't mind, what are the dimensions? Basically the extreme distance between the brackets that attach it to the cabinet, distance between the port and the brackets and what is the size of the port. I have a sealey sb973, but these red jobs are just generic re badged stuff. What the wattage of the motor?

What sort of cfm are you blasting at? I've got a feeling some of the bigger squirrel cage fans will move too much air and you'll end up extracting media as well as the dust. Tbh I'm surprised in a fairly normal sized cabinet like that, that a hoover won't cut it. I blast using a 3hp compressor in an old 205l drum. My hoover keeps it negatively pressurised fine. I did go through two old vacuums, in quick succession, before I glued the body of an old dyson in series to take out the majority of the dust. I'm sure the bought ones will be better, but youknow, nothing like a good bit of stingy bodging 
Bolt holes are 300mm centres vertically, 250 centres horizontally with the tube centrally located

Nothing to stop you remote mounting it and running a flexy hose to the Cabinet though ?
Sorry, didn't get the Wattage of the motor, but I think its there on the ebay listings ? or search for "SBC420" and you get replacement motors advertised.
I`m guessing because people don't clean the filters and then burn out the motor !!

Its a cyclone separator so the dust / solids end up in the bottom where you can empty them out

Thanks Dom, have you had a chance to try it out yet? I think i will have to locate remotely as I have serious space issues. I will post pics of the workshop when I'm finished!

for some reason i was half expecting a 6' hign vacume cleaner
Nope not yet, its still laid on its back in the back of my van.......
Its a bit big to get out on my own and I've been working late every night.
I`ll have a go at the weekend
We use Garnet abrasive at work for the waterjet cutter so I`m going to try it out with some of that first

Well I got it out of the van on Saturday and finished putting it all together.
Its quite a big bit of Kit
The cyclone pulls a fair vacuum on the cabinet too but beyond that, I haven't got it blasting yet
It needs a longer grit delivery hose and it needs a water trap and some 3/8bsp fittings which I didn't have
It was also too cold in the Barn to get my Hydrovane fired up, as the Farmer has fitted a B-Type breaker to the 16A supply rather than a C-type.
I tried warming it (Compressor) with the propane torch but still couldn't get it to go.
Worst ways I`ll take my little portable one down there and see if I can get it to Blast, but first impressions are pretty positive

Not sure really, its been that long in build, as life has just got in the way
It has a supercharged 1600 16v engine with somewhere north of 220hp, rwd, LSD, 4 linked rear axle, quickrack, close ratio 6 speed box etc etc
Basically its like a works tarmac car but with modern running gear and fully mappable ECU etc.
About 95% dry built now, so it needs a final build, the new multipoint cage doing for it, plumbing and wiring, then I can strip it, blast it, paint it and build it back up finished again.
It was built as a fun Daily, which I could play in at the weekends, but that was before kids etc so it may become more like a proper trackday toy now ?
Think GT3RS spec though, lightweight but trimmed nicely too
Full build over on Retro-Rides if you are interested, just too much to repost over here
Drove it around like this for a while too, I sorted the chassis first and then it came off the road for the engine swap.......
that was a long time ago now.......

Nice looking build, seen a fully restored one a few months back and it looked very tidy. Tell yer mate to drop a 2zzge in the mr2, the engine the last model should have had not the piece of poo 1zz
